Two Complementary Solutions for Different Integration Needs

The SENSKIN family now offers two integration approaches.

SENSKIN Integrated is designed for new robot developments. Fully embedded beneath the robot covers, it provides invisible integration, custom sensor geometries and full-body sensing capabilities developed in close collaboration with robot manufacturers.

SENSKIN Modular is a scalable retrofit platform that enables existing robots to be equipped with embedded adaptive safety while preserving robot mobility, payload, accessibility and overall performance.

Its modular architecture can be deployed progressively according to the required level of protection:

Level 1 – Touch Detection

• SENSKIN Ring installed around the robot base 
• Contact detection for immediate physical interaction 

Level 2 – Proximity Awareness

• Ring combined with 1 to 16 strap-on sensing modules 
• Up to 128 sensing elements (16 × 8) 
• Scalable protection adapted to each robotic application

SENSKIN Modular incorporates the same patented three-dimensional capacitive sensing technology that underpins the SENSKIN family.
